Old Tyme Fun Fairs were first contracted by Carnival Films to supply for series 1 episode 4 for Downton Abbey. The filming took place on Bampton Village Green Oxfordshire. This was the first of new show, that has continued to grow into a major TV series. Old Tyme Fun Fairs supplied Vintage Helter Skelter, Hoopla stall, Coconut Shire, Can Can Stall and fairground organ.
In 2012 the company were contacted again for the Christmas special of Downton Abbey to supply our carousel, chair-o-planes, swing boats, coconut shire, hoopla stall, penny on plate stall, striker (test your strength), feed the ducks and ball in the churn stall. Filming for Downton Abbey took place at Eton College grounds, where Old Tyme Funfairs were more than happy to make the journey too. We got to meet the cast of the show and shared some enjoyable moments as they filmed their popular ITV TV Show.
